Goethe-Zertifikat C2

Goethe-Zertifikat C1
The C1 certificate (former: Zentrale Mittelstufenprüfung) confirms successful completion of the exam and certifies knowledge of the German language at the C1 level, enabling one to communicate freely both in writing and speech and to express oneself in private and professional life. The certificate is known worldwide. It is also appreciated by employers in a great many countries.
The exam consists of two parts:
A. the written part and
B. oral part
Part A tests the following skills:
- Reading comprehension (90 min.)
- listening comprehension (approx. 35 min.)
- The ability to formulate a written statement: letter, paper (90 min.).
Part B checks:
- The ability to express one’s own opinion on a given topic (7-10 min.)
- and discussion skills (8-10 min.)
- The written exam therefore takes approx. three and a half hours, while the oral one is about. 15-20 minutes.

Goethe-Zertifikat B2
The Goethe-Zertifikat B2 certificate is a new exam that certifies the ability to speak and write independently and correctly on topics of everyday life as well as in the fields of culture, science and politics.The certificate is recognized in Poland and Germany by numerous institutions, for example, by German employment offices when granting employment permits, and by Polish universities (in language training) as a certificate of required language proficiency for those wishing to obtain a master’s degree. The Goethe-Zertifikat B2 exam is open to candidates who are at least 16 years old.
The written part lasting approx. 190 min. includes:
- listening comprehension
- reading comprehension
- reconstruction of the text on the basis of its fragments
- written expression (correcting text with errors, editing a letter).
The oral exam (about 10 -15 minutes) consists of the following parts:
- independent presentation of the information contained in the article with your own commentary on its content
- Holding discussions and developing a common position with a conversation partner.
